UNC-55 L1 Color Code                                                May 1988

                                                                             DHH; May 2010

This animal was probably studied by Leon Nawrocki and John White (see Walthall, J. Neurobiol. 21: 1085-91,1990).  It presents a rather complete thin section series of the more posterior portions of the ventral cord and dorsal cord of an L1 animal.  Every other section was photographed as available, at 10,000X.

Color codes are following a page in MRC green notebook #7.   MRC staff used commissure positions to match axons on the two sides, and link one color code to the other; it is unlikely that they actually traced any commissures – which would be very difficult.

Interneuron codes are taken from three charts in MRC blue notebook Z.
